We had a great time and our guide Keith was great. He did a good job of getting all the clients talking and friendly with each other. We did the trip after a rain storm and the mud was what really made the trip exciting. Beautiful scenery the whole way to the falls. We took our time cruising back down the river and never felt rushed by anybody.

We loved this tour! It showed us a side of Kauai we hadn’t seen before. We had a lovely kayak paddle up the river, everyone paddling at their own levels; we learned about local legends and history, including the story of the Menehune Fishpond. Then we went ashore for a hike through a jungle trail (wear chacos or boots/shoes you don’t mind getting muddy, my son even hiked in Reef flip flops, to give you an idea of difficulty). The hike is a bit muddy but not overly challenging, and you can move at your own pace. We stopped for lunch at beautiful waterfalls, then half the group had a blast swinging on a rope swing into a river pool. (I’ll try to add pix later) Our guide Kipp is a native Kauaian and during our kayaking and hike he was also sharing great recommendations on local hikes, food and other adventures. We will now definitely see and do things here we would’ve otherwise missed. This company also has bike tours and zip line tours that sound amazing. Everyone who works there is very welcoming and professional, they genuinely want visitors to enjoy their beautiful island. Highly recommend!

We had a lot of fun kayaking (2 miles each way) and hiking about 1.5 miles in to a waterfall and back out. It was muddy, wear good shoes and plan on them getting dirty. It was wet, I was glad I had a jacket, but it was beautiful and a lot of fun. We had a 16 and 13 year old with myself and my husband; we all did fine. The kayaks were two man.
