Although this trip is conducted in Deception Pass State Park we avoid the turbulent water near the bridge which is more suitable for expert kayakers. We did the Bioluminescent 3 hour kayaking tour. It was 3 hours of paddling with plenty of time to check in, get into life jackets and instructions before that. We had Nikki and Sam as our guides. Though the info mail clearly mentioned, we somehow forgot to carry our jackets. They both went out of their way to arrange jackets for us. We would have been really chilly without those. They were really great guides and very helpful. They took care of everyone in the group from novices to expert kayakers. They took us out for the view of a beautiful sunset. And then we paddled to dark coves where we saw the magical bioluminescence. It really was a wonderful sight. Stars in the sky and inside the water too. That was something that you really have to see once in your lifetime. And I am happy that we did this with AKT. They made our experience very amazing from start to end. We would recommend them in a heartbeat to our friends.

My favorite part was being on the water with a guide that seemed very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the ocean and all the flora and fauna.

It was a great experience. A smaller tour group would have allowed for a better experience. Great guide, equipment was ready and made it simple for us to have a new adventure.
