Like Aialik, Holgate Glacier is surrounded by steep cliffs, dense forests and towering mountain peaks. Visitors may see spectacular calving events as ice chunks break and crash into the ocean. Though rare, black bears have been sighted on the beaches in Holgate arm.

Cruise was good,. The Captain was great at finding wildlife in the water. Good up close view of the glacier. Lunch left a little something to be desired. Staff was great. Don’t know if an adults only option was available, but would be nice.

Captain did a great job of getting us near the orcas, glaciers and so many more viewing experiences. Wonder photos to capture all the memories.

The Kenai fjords national park tour was amazing. We saw Aialik glacier, humpback whales, killer whales, otters, seals and sea lions to name a few. This tour was a highlight of our trip. The day we were supposed to go was a rainy day with choppy waters. They offered a refund or a reschedule or you could take the tour and if the didn’t get to make it out to the glacier they would give a 50% discount. We opted to reschedule for two days later. I was so glad we did. The weather was perfect. The only negative was the chicken wraps were a bit of a disappointment. They were mostly lettuce and the lettuce was somewhat brown. However the rest of the experience made up for it greatly.
