We went at the end of June. The trip was overall a great experience. We saw sea otters, sea lions, humpback whales, puffins, eagles, and orcas. I was a little disappointed that we didn't get to stay and get a better glimpse of the orcas, but we had a lot to see and needed to head out of there. The views were spectacular!! We went on a fishing trip the day before, and I was worried that we wouldn't see anything new on this Cruise. I was definitely wrong. There was so much to see!
Notes: You might want to bring something to eat if you don't think you'd like a lettuce sandwich. Lunch was a bag of chips, a granola bar, (decent sides) and a "chicken and lettuce" wrap with 3 or 4 very small pieces of chicken and a buttload of lettuce. This was consistent for all four of us, so it wasn't that they missed putting chicken on one wrap. I couldn't finish my wrap because it was really just a lettuce sandwich. My eldest son enjoyed his sandwich though, so you may too. They gave us a delicious cookie later, so I felt that made up for the sandwich. There is also a snack bar and alcohol. If you're worried about covid, you might want to skip this because it was pretty crowded/packed with people from all over the country/world and only a small handful of people wore masks. We stayed outside. If you stay outside, wear layers. It varied from warm to freezing. Bring a good camera. You're going to want lots of pictures.
