Nice boat trip. I was surprised at the distance covered during the trip, even though I knew it was many hours. We covered a very large/long distance, which was at times very rough with rain, and many people got seasick. Beautiful park and area, but be prepared for the lengthy trip. We did see a bald eagle while leaving the harbor, and many orcas a short distance out (and again when returning). One even breeched right next to the boat!
We also saw one humpback whale, many sea lions and seals. But our captain didn't point out puffins, which I was hoping to see, and likely did, but I wasn't sure. Some friends of ours were on another boat at the same time and saw many which were pointed out to them. Lunch was basic...flour tortilla wraps with either black beans or chicken, nature valley granola bars, a bag of potato chips, and an Andes mint. there were extra wraps at the bar. You had to purchase your own drinks, which included alcohol (I wouldn't recommend if you get sick,) packets of hot chocolate or cider which you add your own hot water to at the coffee station, coffee, sodas, etc.
We enjoyed most of our trip outside, but when we wanted to come inside, people had saved or taken up all of the inside seating and we had a very difficult time finding a place to sit inside. So even though they advertise their indoor, heated cabin, there didn't seem to be enough seats for everyone indoors. We had originally booked the trip that included the dinner on Fox Island, but I am glad that we changed it to this cruise which returned around 5:30.
