Check the weather before you go! We had what appeared to be a fairly calm day when at the dock and once we left the bay we experienced 9ft swells. Many passengers were sea sick. We made it to the glacier, but it was not the experience we had planned on. We were not warned at all about the rough seas before going out. I would recommend this trip on a good weather day, but don't get caught on a rough seas day. The staff was very pleasant and did their best to help everyone out and kept a cheerful disposition.

If you visit Seward, don't miss this trip. Our cruise boat/ship was Aialik Voyager. The Captain and crews were great. Captain was very nice spoken person. His commentary made the trip memorable. Boat was very clean. Descent lunch was served. We saw majestic view of various mountains, rock formation and wild life(seal, Puffins, Dall ship, Bald eagle, whales etc). I won't forget this trip. Orca whales were riding along the boat in the ocean. That was an amazing feeling seeing whales chasing the boat and going up-down in the water.

We traveled on the Aialik Voyager. The Captain was hilarious and extremely informative, not to mention accommodating! We saw so much wildlife! Orcas, humpback whales, porpoises, and puffins! The Captain made several stops to ensure everyone was able to view and get pictures. At the glacier, she explained the history and habits of the ice flows. We had such an amazing experience!
