Since the first star was awarded to Joanne Woodward, in 1960, celebrities and fictional characters that have contributed to the entertainment industry here have recognized with a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. There are now more than 2,300 of these five-pointed bronze stars including some of the most recent honorees such as Halle Berry, Jamie Foxx and Forrest Whitaker and The Munchkins, stars of the 1939 film “The Wizard of Oz.

Sunset Plaza
Lunch at Mel's Diner:The ultimate 50’s dining experience! George Lucas filmed scenes for American Graffiti at a Mel’s Diner. The one on Sunset Strip, where we stop for lunch on the full-day tour, is still a great place for celebrity spotting! You don’t “have” to have lunch here – but why wouldn’t you want to? You just might recognize someone famous at the next table. Don’t let their clever disguise (Rayban(tm) sunglasses) fool you! Dine with the stars! (lunch is not included).

Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive: This is a city where the pawn shops are called “collateral lenders,” and make quick loans on Mercedes and Ferraris instead of toasters. This is a city where some of the clothing stores require customers to make advance reservations to shop, and where shoppers may routinely drop $100,000 or more in a single visit to a boutique on Rodeo Drive or Wilshire Blvd. A city where the post office offers valet parking. This town’s “Sister City” is none other than Cannes, France.
6
Santa Monica
Santa Monica Beach: Follow America’s most famous cross country highway to the Pacific Ocean, and you will find yourself at the Santa Monica Pier. Designed as a pleasure palace and park a century ago, currently this restored family playground is gearing up for its 100th Gala in 2009.
7
Venice Beach
Venice Beach: Hilary Duff shot a video here, Jim Morrison and the Doors and bandleader Benny Goodman both got their careers started here, and now it is the place actors Jane Fonda, Viggo Mortensen and Elijah Wood call home. It’s Venice Beach, the free-spirited beach resort town beloved for its Bohemian character, boutiques, street performers, artists, fortune tellers on the boardwalk and as a stellar place for people-watching (not to mention star-gazing)!Muscle beach and much more.... Due to Venice Beach city conditions, we might substitute Venice Beach to Fisherman's Village in Marina Del Rey.

There is a list of things you get to do. Before you’re disappointed, you’re not gonna get to do them. Cannot stop in Beverly Hills, I cannot stop on rodeo drive. Four stops, first one 10 minute, second 29 minutes, third 45 minutes (Hollywood Blvd) lunch was an hour then last stop Venice Beach was 20 minutes. Got on the bus at 8 AM, got off at 6:40 PM. All of the rest the time was stuck on of us.

We share your disappointment with Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills. The City of Beverly Hills has reacted to abuses from other tour companies by restricting access. No tour has been able to stop on Rodeo for over 5 years, and access to residential areas has been substantially restricted due to bad actors. We do make 6 stops for an accumulation of about 3 hours off the bus. I am curious as to which stops you have forgotten. Our standard timing does usually go from 8 to about 4:30 but because we start and end during the rush hour traffic that Los Angeles is famous for, we are subject to delays. We can also be delayed when guests return from stops late. At the start of each tour we do inform our guests of our intended return time and of the possibility of delays and ask if any of them have commitments for activities after the tour. If they do, we make every effort to assure return in time for that commitment. That effort could necessitate elimination or shortening time at some of the attractions. For your specific experience, return was delayed by guests returning late at multiple stops and exceptionally heavy Friday afternoon holiday weekend traffic. We never want our guests to feel they are "stuck on the bus", but, sometimes it is simply unavoidable.

Thank you for submitting your review of your day with us on our Los Angeles tour. LA is a big place with a ton of attractions. Selecting a representative sampling for the time available is a challenge, we appreciate your recognition. I have forwarded your comments to John and he has asked me to express his appreciation for your kind words. We hope to have an opportunity to serve you again.

I was a little disappointed and wish I had read the description closer. The stop at the Hollywood sign was so far away that you can't even tell what it is in pictures. The city of Beverly Hills decided we could no longer stop at the famous BH sign, could have picked up an image on the web with what we got. One member of our tour was looking forward to walking down Rodeo Dr... but that was just a drive by too! Not even a drive down! Time was spent at venue for upcoming Olympics... guess we had to stop someplace... and a Mexican street shopping area...I think more for bathroom break! Our tour guide, however, was amazing! Very knowledgeable of the area, great stories to share, pointed out all kinds of things as we drove along.

Thanks for submitting your comments. I must admit that your "Ehhh" heading seems more appropriate to your review than your recollection of the attractions we visited. Your review certainly makes it sound like you saw little, if anything of interest during your time with us. Of course, that is disappointing to us. Allow me to shed a little light on what we showed you. The "Mexican street" is Olvera Street, the birth place of Los Angeles with shops, historic buildings and, yes, the cleanest restrooms in Los Angeles. With access limitations imposed by the city, we have opted to take our guests to the Griffith Observatory in Griffith Park, the largest city park in the world, to view the city and Hollywood sign. The "venue for upcoming Olympics" as you call it, is the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum which hosted the 1932, 1984, and will host the 2028 Summer Olympics. The history of that attraction has garnered substantial praise from our guests. Apparently, you were not as impressed as they have been. Unfortunately, the City of Beverly Hills has imposed restrictions on tour bus access to Rodeo Drive, but we do provide a photo op of the drive as well as the Beverly Wilshire Hotel which was featured in the movie Pretty Woman. You did not mention the hour on Hollywood Blvd, lunch at Mel's Drive-in, Santa Monica, or Venice Blvd. I have shared your comments with your guide and he has asked me to thank you for your "amazing" endorsement of his efforts. Hopefully, you will reflect on all that he showed you during the tour and appreciate how much the tour actually offered.
