Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

We had a great time at the Luau. The food and drinks were great and the performance was entertaining. A great story of Hawaiian culture. We loved it.

I would recommend doing the train ride along with the luau, it is informative and a good way to spend 45 min - hour before dinner. The drinks were fantastic at the luau. The show and entertainment during dinner was great. The food while authentic was good but not spectacular. It’s a large venue, there may be smaller more intimate options around the island but the show and atmosphere can’t be beat at Luau Kalamaku!

Great hospitality and show! Performance was outstanding and included a nice touch of fire throughout. Food was very good as well but was typical buffet. We chose the train ride which would be great for small kids.
