I purchased this lesson for my husband. He had always wanted to try scuba diving, and he had an incredible experience! His instructor was Harmony and was amazing! We highly recommend her! Everything was professional and very personalized. You won't regret this lesson.

My husband and I are not certified divers, but have done numerous introductory dives all over the world. Based on TA reviews, we stopped by Extended Horizons on the chance we could book their introductory dive the following day. Eric cheerfully met us and after a brief conversation about our diving experience and what we wanted from this dive, we were booked. Our dive instructor was Chase, a quiet, unassuming, patient young man. He took us and one other diver to Black Rick. Parking was available. He provided all equipment which was dropped off near the beach for us. After a brief refresher course and a quick test, we were off. Chase was amazing and I learned more from him in one dive, than I learned from all of my previous lessons combined. He had amazing, practical tips for a safe, comfortable dive. He watched us carefully, but also let us handle ourselves and our equipment. He intervened intuitively only when I needed it. We wished we would have had time to certify with him and Extended Horizons. Black Rock was an okay dive spot. Sadly, the coral was bleached and visibility was average. There was a nice variety of fish and Chase pointed out eels and turtles hiding in the rocks. We surfaced amongst the crowded snorkelers which was tricky. Overall, we were so pleased with this pleasant, relaxing experience. We'll definitely seek them out gain in the future for a certification course as time allows.

Although I had been snorkeling in the Caribbean many times (Belize, Jamaica, etc.), this was my very first Scuba diving adventure. I read that Extended Horizons was a well-respected dive shop, so I knew I was in good hands. Everyone was very friendly, but instructor Jules made my trip the incredible experience that it was. You see, I'm a pretty anxious person, and Jules took her time with me, never making me feel rushed or embarrassed for not "getting it" right away. When I almost considered backing out, she told me I was doing great and gently encouraged me, which is exactly what I needed. She was SO obviously skilled as a diver, having the answers to every obscure question I asked, and constantly checking in with me underwater. I honestly don't think I would have felt as comfortable with anyone else. Even though the amount of sea life was much less in Maui compared to Belize, my dive was awesome! She held my hand until I was ready to let go, and then we swam with all the pretty fish and beautiful coral. If you're looking to dive, stop looking. Go here. If you're looking for the best instructor ever, ask for Jules. I can't wait to come back to Maui and try diving again!
