Keeping your perfect record of 5 star reviews! My friend and I were in town visiting just for a couple days. This food tour was a perfect way to spend some time in the city, learning about the city, and having a wonderful time eating and drinking. On a freezing and snowy day, John was up for walking around and didn't miss a beat. He made sure to call us to be sure WE really wanted to walk around that day (Floridians here). It turned out perfect. We worked up our appetite walking and stayed warm going in the restaurants. John was a wonderful guide and it was just like meeting up with an old friend, chatting and talking all about his city. I loved trying lots of delicious new and different foods. We were definitely not left hungry at the end of the tour. I would 100% recommend this food tour to anyone.

K. and H. - My two guests, who are now part of every Tour, as I tell everyone about the day I did a Tour in the blowing snow, the howling wind, all while it was 24 degrees! Now that I think about it, it really was that bad! I still remember the wind blowing so hard I think it started pushing us backwards! And we all laughed out loud! I know...I wanted to (maybe?!) cancel but...Oh No! Off we went and had a blast! An unforgettable day of food...and fun...and lots of laughs! Thanks for pushing me into the adventure...and for taking time to share it with TA readers. It would seem that once I got some of that yummy food in you two, no one seemed to even notice the weather! My best to you both! Let's do this again! (Like maybe when it's 70 degrees!!)

Hands down a must do when you visit Atlanta. My co-workers and I went to Atlanta for a work conference and our manager wanted us to have some fun before our conference started so she signed us up for the Peachtree Food Tour. Boy was that a great idea! None of us have ever been to Atlanta before, let alone a food tour, so this was a first for all of us. Let me tell you, we had the best time EVER!!!! What a great experience!!! John couldn’t have been a more gracious host and he showed us true southern hospitality (we're from Los Angeles). We arrived late to the tour due to traffic but John was very understanding. He was eager and excited to show us his side of town and we were ready! I don’t want to give the whole tour away but he took us to many different restaurants that served outstanding food and drinks. One place was so good that my co-workers and I went back on a different night to eat there again! Our group even had different dietary requests and John had no problems accommodating to them. We had a blast walking and listening to John as he shared about his town and his food adventures. We learned so much! Thanks John for being so personable and fun during the tour. You made all of us food tour fans for life! - Patrina

Nothing quite like taking 8 ladies on their first Food Tour.. ever.. right after getting off a flight from the West Coast!! You all were gamers...and off we went for some Midtown food and fun! Lots of great little conversations that often ended with that kind of sweet laughter that goes with folks who are at ease and truly enjoying themselves, particularly after I got some food and drink into everybody. As to the stories I told...and you enjoyed...here's hoping you were having such a blast that there was no fact checking! Just sayin'... Thanks, Patrina, for taking a few moments to share your experience! I'd love to know which restaurant you all returned to. You sure had lots of choices! Please give my best to the entire LA crew!!

I received the gift of John's excellent Peachtree Food Tour from my parents for my 23rd birthday. I live in Midtown and had for about 6 months upon receiving the tour. Additionally, I grew up in the Atlanta metro-area so, touristy-tours were not something I was looking to do in my free time. John's tour is not that. Imagine you had a foodie uncle with a colorful past and bright personality. And he took you out for the day to his favorite restaurants. That is what John's tour feels like. He refers to Midtown as "[his] neighborhood," his wife as "[his] sweet Jeri," and his tour patrons as his friends. The food John selected on the tour was delicious and surprising to say the least. He even took us to one of my favorite places in town and surprised me with his menu selection. This man has done his "research." All in all, a great experience and wonderful way to spend a Saturday. He does not rush his guests, he doesn't overwork you by making you walk miles at a time, yet you cover a lot of ground, he makes everyone feel welcome, and chooses an excellent menu. What more could you ask for in a food tour?

Ha! A "foodie uncle"! I'll wear that name tag! I try to never lose sight of the fact that my guests are in my neighborhood...eating in some of my favorite restaurants...listening to my (mostly true!) stories as we all stroll down Peachtree Street. Then, when my guest, you! actually lives in my Midtown, the challenge is on! What does Courtney know, but more importantly, what does she not know. It certainly was a treat to introduce you to all kinds of places and food that all had a "newness" to you after seeing it (and tasting it) like I do. Thank you, Courtney, for the kind words...and for bringing M. along as your guest.I had a sense that she really enjoyed the afternoon! I'll keep my eyes out for you while sweet Jeri and I are out doing "research"...and you know that we're all about the "research"! :)
