The overall experience was very good: 4.5 stars for the entertainment and 3.5 stars for the food. If you can set aside your preconceptions of authenticity, there is a lot to enjoy and learn. The dancing and singing were awesome, especially the haka and poi dances. The tour of the village was a little bit rushed, but we had plenty of time to ask questions to the guides later. The fairy spring is cool. My only criticism is the food - it was just so-so. I've never had a hangi before, but I have had food cooked underground (many culture do this), and the flavor here was unimpressive.
