Castle Valley is the poster child for Western landscapes, and you’ve probably already seen it somewhere in a John Wayne movie, TV show, or a commercial or two. And if somehow you have, in fact, never laid eyes on Castle Valley before, you’re not going forget it once you do!

This serene section of the Colorado River moseys through a big beautiful valley lined with monuments. Along the way are some of Utah’s most impressive geologic features like Fisher Towers, Castleton Tower, the Priest and Nuns, and more.

As for the waters here along the Colorado River, it stays pretty warm from late spring to early fall. You’ll spend most of your time floating, with a few Class II rapids to cool you off along the way. Expect plenty of fascinating interpretations and fun stories from your river guide on this mild trip!

This trip was awesome for me and my family, even with the youngsters on board. Carly was an amazing guide because she was attentive to my 6 and 8 year old and made the trip interesting for my 11 year old. She knew the river well and was willing to sit the little ones up front. Even though they were too little for the big rapids portion, she moved them to the front for some memorable splashes. You cannot beat the scenery. It was beautiful.

Took the half day family raft tour. Staff was professional and courteous. Safety first while maintaining a fun adventure. Our Guide, Gannon was awesome. Outgoing, and engaging. Was great with the kids in the group. Involved everyone and made everyone enjoy the trip. He greatly enhanced the adventure.

Trey, our guide, expertly navigated the freezing cold rapids to perfectly splash my 13 y.o. niece on numerous unexpected occasions 😆 The river had just enough small rapids to keep you entertained and on your toes. Trey was knowledgeable, witty, and perfectly guided the raft through dangerous areas while still giving us some bumps and splashes for entertainment.
