We are happy to hear that you enjoyed Captain Al and his knowledge of the Sonoran Desert and plant life. There is so much to learn about our beautiful desert, whether you are native to the area, or just visiting. We are sorry to hear that your landing was bumpier than you would have liked. The scenario that you described is a standard high wind "layover" landing, however, we of course prefer all of our landings to take place with little to no wind, as to decrease any discomfort to passengers. Our pilots do their best with the forecasting tools provided, as well as judgment of the actual weather conditions pre-flight, however, sometimes we unfortunately cannot control the everchanging weather conditions Mother Nature brings that can cause these bumpier landings. Hopefully the traditional champagne toast and breakfast were a welcome post-flight treat!
