Overall the ride was unforgettable! Breathtaking views of the desert and unique Arizona topography. Captain Al was friendly and provided us with bits of history about hot air ballooning and bits of information about desert plants and characteristics of the desert we were viewing. The rest of the crew also worked diligently and made our experience unforgettable. The landing was rough. The basket dragged on the desert floor forever and it tilted in the end. We followed Captain Al's instructions and held on for dear life! We all survived and lived to enjoy a light breakfast with champagne. We closed with the balloonist's prayer. Amen. A unique experience.

Hi Rosemary, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us and your fellow travelers! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed Captain Al and his knowledge of the Sonoran Desert and plant life. There is so much to learn about our beautiful desert, whether you are native to the area, or just visiting. We are sorry to hear that your landing was bumpier than you would have liked. The scenario that you described is a standard high wind "layover" landing, however, we of course prefer all of our landings to take place with little to no wind, as to decrease any discomfort to passengers. Our pilots do their best with the forecasting tools provided, as well as judgment of the actual weather conditions pre-flight, however, sometimes we unfortunately cannot control the everchanging weather conditions Mother Nature brings that can cause these bumpier landings. Hopefully the traditional champagne toast and breakfast were a welcome post-flight treat! If there is anything else we could have done to make your ballooning experience a 5 star one, please let us know! We are always open to feedback, and greatly appreciate it. Everyone was so friendly. The flight was so smooth and relaxing. I really enjoyed the breakfast and getting a chance to meet nice people.

My friend and I took our first hot air balloon flight on June 1st and it was an incredible experience. Tommy Brown our pilot was very friendly and informative. I will certainly recommend Hot Air Expeditions to everyone interested in doing an unforgettable excursion in the valley. Pros: Amazing views of the valley Cons: No restroom facilities at launch area.
