We took the sunrise ride and it was a great experience from start to finish. Ken picked us up at our hotel, was friendly and engaging with conversation en route to the start point. It was fun to watch all the balloons being prepared for flight. Our captain, Tommy, had a great sense of humor, was skilled and knowledgeable, and made the flight an unforgettable experience. The scenery was amazing, breakfast after was good, and all of the staff were great. The only improvement would be if a bathroom stop could occur on the way back after the flight - 3.5 hours is a long time without, especially when you’re drinking champagne :)

Hi Shannon, Your experience is exactly what we strive for. So happy that you enjoyed your flight and time with Captain Tommy, Ken and the rest of the crew! We so agree, the inflation and preparation of the balloons is something to see. Floating over our beautiful desert can only be topped off with champagne and breakfast. Thank you for pointing out that champagne and restrooms do go together, oh my, you are so right! Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us.

My girlfriend and I️ decided to attempt this while on vacation in Scottsdale. Kyle picked a few of us up at our resort right at the designated time. We went to two other resorts on the way north to the launch spot. Kyle was part of the ground crew on our day, but he also pilots balloons, so his pre flight instruction and information were very detail oriented. We arrived at the launch spot only to learn that it may be too windy to fly (sunset flight). Captain Al launched several helium balloons into the sky to check flight patterns. All four went straight as an arrow. We were told this was not what they wanted to see. Nevertheless, at decision time captain Al instructed the ground crew members to ready the baskets. Watching this process unfold (pun intended) was a highlight of the experience to us. We flew in a large basket with roughly 16 people plus captain Al. The ballon was massive. I️ won’t spoil the surprise on how you load into the ballon, or the landing. The ride was actually very peaceful and extremely scenic as you flew over the desert towards Pleasant Lake. Champagne was served after the landing, along with some light snacks. It seemed like every person on the flight really enjoyed the experience. The heat was intense at times, WEAR A HAT! After our meal and drinks, Kyle returned us to our respective resorts. It was a 5 hour process from start to finish, but an enjoyable one for sure. We will likely attempt a morning launch next time we come out. This tour group was great.

Sipping champagne while the Arizona sun is setting is certainly the way to finish off a peaceful, scenic balloon flight.
