I planned this trip to Arizona for my family and needed a few surprises. While at first hesitant to book an activity requiring us to be up before the sun rose, I would encourage travelers to the area to consider this adventure. It's a unique way to embrace the beauty that surrounds you. Hot Air Expeditions provides great customer care from booking until the end of your trip. The shuttle driver/crew member was on time- polite - and prepared us for the ride. Our pilot, Chad, was courteous and knowledgeable. He gave understandable directions, took time to take pictures for passengers, and answered questions. His positive attitude and humor added to our enjoyment. The champagne/sparkling juice toast followed by a tasty breakfast was a nice finish to our trip. While the basket is tight, we did not feel claustrophobic. Those travelers who were afraid of heights were not bothered by the flight. We had a child, 2 teens, and adults of all ages. You'll be safe, well cared for and make a lasting memory with your family or friends.

Hello, It is definitely worth it to get up for the morning flights! The weather is so beautiful, and you get to see the desert as it is waking up. Captain Tommy and Crew Chief Nick are the best. Did this for our Anniversary and was not disappointed. Would highly recommend that others don't wait the 20 years we did to enjoy one of these Hot Air Balloon rides.

For our second trip to Phoenix we wanted to take a balloon flight--heard great things about Hot Air Expeditions and after speaking with them on the phone they were our choice! My husband and I and our 5 year old son enjoyed every moment of the experience. I always felt in extremely capable hands--incredibly safe--despite my fear of falling. The pilot gave our 5 year old some ear plugs which helped when he stoked the flame. The take off, flight, and landing were incredibly smooth...still can't quite figure our how the landing was so smooth! And a lovely touch to end the experience with a lovely brunch and mimosa surrounded by the beautiful Phoenix mountains and wildflowers. I highly recommend ballooning with Hot Air Expeditions!
