This was a well-run tour, very fun and informative, and our pilot Mike E was fantastic! Beautiful scenery, so magical watching the sun come up over the mountains as we floated above the desert. Breakfast afterward was excellent, too. Highly recommend!

Good for first ride. Smooth pickup & landing. - ve:Balloon stayed mostly low except once for 5 mins.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to share about your experience! We are so happy to hear your first hot air balloon ride was a memorable one. One of the unique aspects of hot air ballooning is that your pilot must navigate the everchanging wind speeds + directions in order to get you to a safe landing location. Some days you may float high for a good portion of the ride, and some days you may float lower, just depending on the day's conditions, as well as available launching + landing locations. Everything that we do is with your safety and enjoyment in mind. We hope that your ride was still a fun one, and we hope to see you up, up and away another time!

For our first balloon ride, we felt safe and had a great flight. The entire crew showed they knew what they were doing and that made the flight more relaxing. Although we didn’t seem to fly as high as we expected, as other reviewers mentioned, we did have a large basket with 18 people which most likely made a difference in how high we went. But the sunrise flight gave excellent views and we saw the desert from a vantage point that not many people get to see. The flight was smooth and quiet which added to the overall experience. After we landed, the breakfast set up in the desert was very nice. There was real linens and glassware, something I didn’t expect for being out in the desert. The champagne was good and everyone seemed to enjoy this special breakfast. I definitely recommend this as something you should plan on doing while in the Phoenix area.
