Greg took us to the smallest establishments imaginable, all of them with their own specific specialty. The sort of places you would never find on your own. The common denominators were quality and passion for their products. Our initial plan was to have dinner afterwards and then go on to Café Wha where we made reservations to see their house band play. We made it to Café Wha all right but skipped the dinner as there was no way we could eat any more after the various delicious bites during the tour. Our compliments to Greg, who is an inspiring advocate of his beloved neighbourhood.

Hi Claire Thanks for such a great review. Glad those delicious bites kept you rocking through the show at Cafe Wha! I do truly enjoy sharing the small local specialty food shops to out of towners. I know my job has been well done when tourists are full! Happy Spring~ Greg PS. Thanks for the tip. ;)

On this tour, we thoroughly enjoyed the food, the wonderful and interesting shop keepers and the rich history of Greenwich Village. Each culinary experience was better than the previous one and the variety of food samplings was excellent. The selection of shops and culinary options was great and really reflected some of the best of Greenwich Village The one element that detracted from the tour was that Greg while very knowledgeable spent far too much time talking about himself and 'man-splaining' everything to the 5 highly educated women on this tour. For example he asked us if we knew what 'Yelp' was when we said of course. He actually spelled it and explained it to us. At the beginning of the tour while telling us why he was 14th on Trip Advisor he took a long winded detour to explain the Dewey decimal system to us while we froze in 30 degree weather. We would have preferred that he stay more focused on the history of Greeenwich Village and less on random stories and details about his friends and family

Hello BossLady4301 I am glad you enjoyed the food and shopkeepers. It is unfortunate you experienced me a grating mansplainer; this is certainly a first! Stories of Italian American friends and family in the neighborhood are germane to the tour. The Dewey decimal was mentioned to illustrate how preparing for The NYC Tour Guide License has drastically improved with the internet. When asking all tourists about YELP, I always spell it out, letter by letter. I've met many tourists, domestic and international, who are unaware of the app and its spelling. I apologize for your taking umbrage at my explanations as mansplaining to you five highly educated women. As for the weather, I would have immediately ushered you into the Church at the tour's origination if I knew you were freezing. The subsequent stops were seated inside warm venues when possible. Thank you for your review and Happy Spring. PS Thank you for your generous tip - MUCH appreciated.

My son and I were the only ones on this tour so we had an extra special tour with Greg! He opened my eyes that Greenwich Italian area far surpasses little Italy which we did last year. The food, meatballs, pastries, and especially hot chocolate and coffee were superb!! So many facts about the area! You truly are full when you finish this tour. Greg was amazing as a tour guide
