Thank you so much Greg for your informative, enthusiastic and fun tour today. We loved all the food samples and are now feeling suitably full! We very much enjoyed learning about the history of the Italian community in the Greenwich area over the last 200 years and you answered all of our questions with gusto! This is surely the only food tour in NYC in which real Italians give you real samples of delicious home cooked food - just like an Italian Mama would make! Can’t wait to try out your restaurant recommendation for dinner tonight! Grazie Mille, the Wolstencrofts from London, UK

hello there Wolstencrofts so glad that you joined me on the tour. I love touring the smaller out of the way places which make Greenwich village a special Italian enclave. and I'm happy you all felt suitably full; that is the best review I get. Safe journey back to Great Britain and GRAZIE! Greg

We had Greg to ourselves for a delicious daytime stroll through Greenwich Village - especially loved the finger licking cream filled desserts (Greg saw what I had my eye on and adjusted the selection to make me even happier!) Not only did the food taste delicious- the aromas were wonderful! So much better to be on a smaller group tour where there are more opportunities to interact and find out about this fascinating neighbourhood and delicious places to eat! While we certainly got lots to eat, we did go back for a second slice of pizza and then gelato... a great way to spend a long lunch hour! Our kids (age 24/26) also had a terrific time. Nice to know the location of so many delicious diversions. Food tours are the best way to see a neighbourhood- and to do it with someone who lives right there!

Greg is from the neighborhood, and is proud of his heritage- and it shows on his tour. My wife and I were the only two on the tour, so it made it for a more personal experience which was nice. It was also good that it was only two of us, as some of the venues we visited were tiny- which is not a bad thing at all. The first place we visited was a small- family owned butcher shop for a taste of prosciutto. Three of us inside made it crowded. But, that's part of the experience- to visit the family-owned small businesses that still exist in the neighborhood. Everywhere we stopped, the tastes were small, but appropriate. We found it odd that we didn't get the 'grandma slice' that is in the description, but we did stop at another venue that was not listed. After the tour was finished, we did get a slice in the neighborhood. This didn't diminish our experience, I would just suggest you clarify what you're getting if you're really wanting a slice. Overall, we had a good time. Greg is very informative, personable and knows his stuff. Highly recommend.

Hi, As you experienced, I combine my passion for food, family and history on GREG WALKS NYC TOURS. The little and intimate tiny tour spaces on the tour make this neighborhood all the more special. The smaller tours always lend to a more intimate experience. Thank you for the wonderful review. Glad you were able to walk with me. HAPPY SPRING! Greg
