This tour departs from Orcas Island. The island can only be reached by the Washington State Ferry System. If your party is not already on island we recommend our Anacortes departure location.
Check in begins 30 minutes prior to departure.

On September 25, our family of six chartered a boat with Outer Island Excursions. Captain Jake was an excellent guide. Everyone caught Coho Salmon and we saw an Orca. It was many firsts for our family and made for an memorable trip. When we arrived on Orcas Island, we called Outer Island and spoke with Beau to set up our charter. From the start, they worked with us to give us the best experience. We highly recommend Outer Island Excursions and Captain Jake.

Captain Jake was amazing for our private Fishing and Whale Watching expedition. We went on an adventure for my Mom's 60th birthday and had the most amazing time. Not only were we ALL able to catch huge Coho Salmon, but we were able to see a whale and the beautiful landscapes around the San Juan Islands. Captain Jake is funny, personable, and very knowledgable about the area. We went out very early in the morning to try to catch some good fish and were extremely successful. Along with answering any questions we had for him, Jake was constantly monitoring the radio to find out about the whale activity the whole time since he knew that Whale Watching was important to us as well. When it came time to make a decision if we wanted to keep fishing or go see whales, he made sure to let us know and we jumped on it! He made the trip very memorable and positive for us. We highly recommend Jake and Outer Island Expeditions to anyone traveling to this area!

Our September afternoon tour was awesome! Captain Paul and team not only found humpbacks and a huge group of orcas, but they gave us great insight into the whales and the ecosystem of the Sound. I appreciate the respect they have for these beautiful and endangered animals.
