We visited Philadelphia for Columbus Day weekend. On Saturday, we thought it might be nice to book a double decker bus tour around the city for Sunday. However, when I was researching these tours, I was getting some conflicting information as far as stops and times, etc. So, I decided to call and book bee the phone to ensure I got the information correct. I called the number listed on the website (which apparently brought me over to Viator, a third-party vendor, unbeknownst to me) and spoke to a woman named Ronnel Juan. She told me the tours were still operating all day and we could get the n at any of the stops along the route. I asked her where the FIRST stop was located, and she told me the Independence Visitor Center. We expressed concern over the fact that it was supposed to rain on Sunday, and said suggested we take the night tour on Saturday night, and that all we had to do was arrive at the IVC by 5:00pm. It was already 3:30. So we rushed, got ready, and hurried over to the IVC. We told them we were there for the night tour and they looked at us like we had three heads. They haven’t conducted night tours in almost 7 months, since before COVID!!! So this lady booked me two NON-REFUNDABLE tickets for a total of $50 for a night tour that doesn’t exit!!! Needless to say we were beyond pissed. Thank God the people who worked at the IVC and the drivers and tour guides at Big Bus were extremely nice and accommodating and let us use our tickets for the next day. Also, one of the managers at Big Bus said that he has been trying to call Viator for over 3 weeks in order to tell them that their information is incorrect, and that Big Bus has new hours of operation, but Viator is STILL selling incorrect tickets as evidenced by my experience. In short, they were HORRIBLE and I will be VERY wary as to never use Viator again!!!
