"Hop-On Hop-Off" is kind of a misnomer at the moment; the Big Bus tour currently does not halt at it's established stop points. The tour starts only from Stop #1, across the street from the Liberty Bell, and takes a 90 minute guided tour around the historical parts of the city, with only a single 5-minute stop in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art to allow you to take a couple of quick snaps of the museum entrance and the popular Rocky Balboa statue. Having said that, it's a very enjoyable and informative tour and well worth the time invested. Samantha, aka "Sam," was our tour guide and she was one of the best commentators on a Hop-On Hop-Off bus that we have experienced in our trips around the world. She is as knowledgeable about the history of the city as she is cheerful, which is wonderfully uplifting during this period of COVID-19. Seating is limited, masks are mandatory, thrills include an occasional low branch for those on the open top level of the bus (hat-grabbers, not dangerous...). Tickets are good for only one trip around the city, not for multiple rides, but you'll get a good layout of the majority of the interesting points of the city that you'll want to revisit on foot. Many buildings are still closed so there won't be a reason to walk back to them anyway, but there are many, many historical interests in Philadelphia to keep you captivated and appreciative of this beautiful and historic city. Highly recommended!
