There's a lot of negative reviews, but I don't really have any complaints. Were we just lucky? I booked from EWR to a Manhattan, return, for a three-day birthday celebration. On the plus side: + I followed the instructions and a car arrived at the airport within minutes. + When we left Manhattan, the car arrived 15 minutes in advance. + Both cars were late model vehicles that were clean inside and out. + The drivers really couldn't speak much English, so forget about conversation, but they seemed friendly, were quick to grab luggage, and were eager to assist. On the down-side: - Tolls were not included in the original booking price. Those were extra. Approximately $21 extra, each way - Our return driver didn't know how to handle Visa payments for tolls or tip, so we had to pay cash (not that big of a deal). Based on the service, I'd be happy to use this company again.

We prepaid our pick up from JFK to Manhattan. Upon arrival our pick up car arrived and some luggage was loaded. The driver then looked at us and said "group too small" unloaded our luggage and left. This was called into Carmel's dispatcher who sent a second car after about 15 minutes. The car was the same model as the car that refused to take us. This second driver almost fell asleep at the wheel as we drove to Manhattan. All of this was reported both verbally and in writing to Carmel. No response! The third written request was addressed to Carmel's CEO who did not respond.
