Eat your way through the Funk Zone - Santa Barbara's hip, new 'hood - while learning about local culture and how to take great food photos.

This food & photo tour starts on lower State Street and will walk you through the Funk Zone neighborhood where you will taste what Santa Barbara is known for with bites of fresh seafood, gastropub creations, Mexican food, artisan beer, and locally grown wines several different locations. Along the way,  you’ll get immersed in the local culture and hear interesting stories about each place you’ll visit.

You’ll also learn easy-to-shoot photo tips from your pro tour guide and take your food photo skills to the next level using your smartphone’s camera app. By the end of your 3 hour tour, you’ll be eating like a local and shooting like a pro!
(Please note: we cannot accommodate shellfish allergies, vegan or celiac restrictions at this time. However, we only have one shellfish/seafood tasting on the tour.)

We had a really fun tour with Andrew who shared his knowledge and passion for Ventura in a way that really added into our appreciation for the town and also the Funk Zone in particular. The range of food and drink was excellent with lots of photo opps. We have returned to some of the venues. Thanks Andrew! Ruth and John from Scotland.

Our tour guide Andrew was fantastic. Knowledgeable and adapted the tour to suit our group. Unlike most food tours this one had multiple stops including a wine tasting and distillery tour. Really good start to our stay in Santa Barbara. Only drawback was the photography element which I think could be developed further as it’s a unique concept which helps set this tour apart! If you are choosing between food tours definitely go for this one. Perfect blend of food history and art. Thank you Andrew!

This tour is a great way to learn about the history of a very cool neighborhood of Santa Barbara, and to experience the great quality and variety of food and drinks the local business offer. I also liked that almost all the places we went to were mom n' pop / family owned businesses. Our tour guide Andrew was also very fun, answered all our questions, and managed our big group like a pro.
