1
Castle Clinton National Monument
For more than 200 years, The Battery has been an invaluable part of New York City’s history. Decades before Ellis Island was built or the Statue of Liberty gazed down at incoming boats, millions of newcomers arrived at The Battery from Europe and elsewhere.
2
Statue of Liberty
[Pedestal visit is not included] Its most notable feature is the Statue of Liberty, a large statue by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi that was dedicated in 1886.
3
Ellis Island
Ellis Island was the busiest immigrant inspection and processing station in the United States. After welcoming more than 12 million immigrants to our shores, Ellis Island is now a poetic symbol of the American Dream.

We can't speak highly enough of our Inside Out Tours guide, Katherine! She was knowledgeable, kept the tour light hearted but so very informative. Katherine kept us in the right places at the right time and genuinely cared for the group. The only disappointment we had was an expectation that we would be going up on the pedestal of Lady Liberty which we didn't do but everything else was as expected. New Yorkers and Americans should be proud of this amazing gift and their ongoing connection to the French people through this symbol of hope and inspiration. Ellis Island was an eye opening experience and well worth seeing - the stories of the immigrants were moving and Katherine brought these to life for us. What an amazing experience!!!

Stephan was a great and nice tour guide. I understand that tour guides are not allowed to guide through the museums but maybe there is more to tell before you pay the museum a visit. still I liked the tour

This is THE worst tour I took during my 3 week road trip to US! As of 16 May 2019, tour guides are not allowed to accompany you into the museum's or guide you through the exhibits! In reality, this is not actually a problem if you just take the ferry to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and tour these places independently at your own pace and with the advantage of being free to hire audio guides! Unfortunately, not only could our guide not accompany us (not that I would have wanted this particular guide to anyway), he spent the majority of time when he was with us explaining that he repeatedly that he wasn't allowed to guide us inside, spending precious time repeating this over and over!!! Please don't waste your money! I learnt absolutely nothing from the guide and certainly not any secrets!!! Do this trip self guided and save your money for the Slavery Underground Your which is EXCELLENT!!!

Thank you for your feedback. We regret that you did not enjoy your tour. No tour company can go into the museum under the new park service law but certainly none of our guides should be emphasizing that and failing to give you proper information. As you see from the excellent Slavery and Underground Railroad tour, we take pride in offering our guests the hidden history of New York. Every guide can have an off day and we will be providing feedback and retraining to this tour guide to make sure he lives up to our standards of excellence. Thank you again for your feedback.
