À quoi s'attendre
1
Castle Clinton National Monument
For more than 200 years, The Battery has been an invaluable part of New York City’s history. Decades before Ellis Island was built or the Statue of Liberty gazed down at incoming boats, millions of newcomers arrived at The Battery from Europe and elsewhere.
2
Statue of Liberty
[Pedestal visit is not included] Its most notable feature is the Statue of Liberty, a large statue by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi that was dedicated in 1886.
3
Ellis Island
Ellis Island was the busiest immigrant inspection and processing station in the United States. After welcoming more than 12 million immigrants to our shores, Ellis Island is now a poetic symbol of the American Dream.

On June, 5th, we have taken part in the tour to Ellis Island & the Statue of Liberty. Both attractions are definitely with seeing and Ibeth was very well informed. However, when we arrived (earlier since we still had to get our own tickets for the ferry!) we had to wait a long time for other people in the group, especially for one Italian couple. After we started the tour half an hour later, Ibeth told us to wait at the huge yellow fan - guess, who wasn't there? So the whole group was waiting. Then we were told where to stand on the boat and how to exit so that we are not the last persons to exit - again we had to wait for the same people. After we finally arrived at the statue of liberty, the same couple took their Audio Guides and never showed up again for the rest of the tour. To be honest, this is really unfair for the whole group. Of course, this is not Ibeth's fault per se, but I think, Inside Out Tours should stick more to their schedule and make clear, that such a big group cannot wait for everyone. Another minus was the booking procedure. We have booked with the "sightseeing pass" with which you can get the ferry ticket for free and the tour for free. However, this means you have to be early and we could not really get a definitive answer before on how to handle the ticket procedure. Nevertheless, the tour was nice, Ibeth a well informed guide and we have spent a nice day at the Statue of Liberty and the very interesting Ellis Island Museum.

On my first and recent trip to the island to see our lady, I was so surprised to learn the real story. No spoilers here, but you have to invest in this tour and trip and learn of the spirit in which we received such a gift. Further, what a gift and inspiration she is to all who see her.
