This was one of the highlights of my trip to Sedona. We were originally suppose to go on a Sunday night but keep in mind it's based upon weather conditions. We rescheduled for Wednesday night and it was touch and go with the clouds. The sky cleared and we had fantastic views of the moon and stars. The Astronomer was very knowledgeable. We had 6 people to a telescope and they also had binoculars to view the stars. They provided chairs and blankets.

Despite the promising event to see stars in a dark location, the management of this event was not very customer and was not vey user friendly. The risk with star gazing is the whether or not clouds will be present. Sedona has its far share of clouds especially in the early Spring time. One night was cancelled due to clouds, which we were informed via a text. We had to text a separate number and person to get a refund issued and/or reschedule. We rescheduled for several nights later and were texted aty 5pm that the event was on. We drove the 30 minute drive to the location only to be informed that clouds came and the event was cancelled. We were told a text had been sent (which we did not get) stating the cancellation and options for a refund /rescheduling (again). We did not get that text. Ironically when we returned to Sedona, the skies were 90% clear and we could see stars! What really showed their true colors is when we got an email the next day thanking us for attending and hoping we appreciated the experiences. When I texted for a refund, I was asked to call Karen who basically state and issued a text and email that it was cancelled. I got that notice two days after we drove to the site and were told about the "cloud cover." Honestly, if I was to do this all over again, I would read up on locations to see the stars at a dark spot at the end of a trail head. I would use an app to locate planets and stars. The management of this event is shaddy and not very customer focused.

It was a great experience under the Dark Skies! They had great telescopes and were very organized. The tour guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all our questions.
