We just did this sedona stargazing tour last week and we found ourselves very disappointed. While both Dan and Claudette were nice guides and gave decently informative facts, this tour ended up being nothing like the overview states. For one, the overview states that night vision goggles, lasers, blankets, hats, and gloves will be provided, none of which was. Secondly, instead of taking you to any sort mile marker viewing area, you meet up at a parking lot in which very few stars are visible (no view of the milky way in sight). There you are given a chair, a telescope for your group, and a pair of binoculars. The binoculars end up providing the same view the telescope ends up doing. Both tools provide the same view of specific stars with only a slight improvement from what you can see with the naked eye. This is not at all what we were expecting especially when considering how expensive this tour comes out to be. My recommendation is honestly that you save your money and just some star gazing on your own, unless you feel like spending $200 for some easily Googled star facts.
