The San Xavier Mission is a must see land mark in Tucson. It dates back to the days of Father Kino and was founded in 1692. The building is still intact. Great photo opportunities of the exterior and interior. I can't say enough great things about this Mission. Tombstone. If you loved the movie you'll love the town. Boot Hill, the O.K. Corral, the house of ill repute and the original theater are there to tour. If you love the old west this is town to see. You can even view a reenactment of the famous "Gunfight at the O.K. Corral. Doc Holiday, Wyatt Earp included

Just a short 2 hr. trip from Mesa, Tucson proved to be an enjoyable stop on our way to Tombstone. Our group of 8 spent several hours enjoying the Old Tucson Studios, where we saw sites familiar from years of movie and TV shows. We saw a staged gunfight with stuntman cowboys (thrilling), toured the site on a train, rode a carousel, and even zip-lined for the first time. Highly recommend this little side trip. Tombstone itself, was just as interesting and we spent many hours touring the OK Coral, Big Nose Kate's, Boothill, the Courthouse, the Silver Mine, and so many other attractions highlighting the Old West. Felt like we were back in the days of Gunsmoke! LOVED it all.

Ah, the old town of Tombstone. It is always a treat when we take a group down South! Tucson is indeed a lovely spot as well - one of the many, many unappreciated and hidden gems here in our beautiful Grand Canyon state! That area is truly like taking a step back in time. So many genuine and authentic individuals who make the city feel alive even today!

From the Saloons to The Gunfight at the OK Corral this town puts on a great show. Good atmosphere with plenty to do. The Good Enough Mine to the reenactment of the gunfight at OK Corral. Friendly shopkeepers and great food were the order of the day.
