Our guide Montana was clearly a Tombstone affcianado and extremely passionate about the subject. He went into great detail about ther actual gunfight and the events leading up to it as well as detailed backgrounds of all the leading people involved in it. If you go and don't know already know much about it, Montana will bring you up to speed. We stopped for half an hour at San Xavier Mission, which is well worth having a look around and 30 minutes is enough time. Then, we went onto Boothill Cemetery, great to be in a historical location and plenty of time to spend there. On to Tombstone and Montana lead us around the courthouse and then we were given three hours for lunch and to explore. I had lunch at Big Nose Kate's saloon - a real cowboy place and great food. It seems every establishment has gunfights, but the one at 2pm at the Ok Corral was excellent. Interactive and great fun. A really great day out.

Thanks for reaching out to DETOURS and sharing your experience with us! Tombstone is a heck of a tour and Montaha is a heck of a guide to take you there. One of our favorite tours, as it shows some rich history of Arizona's wild cowboy era. Thanks for joining us! We hope that you will come out again soon, we've got plenty more of the Southwest to show off!

Our tour guide was nice. But didn't explain a lot of either the misssion or Tombstone. He spoke about his experiences which while interesting were not what I booked the tour for. I also felt the trip was a bit rushed as we had to wait 25min for food which meant we missed a show. I felt it was a long journey with little highlights

Montana was our guide. He was full of energy and a great conversationalist. He was full of knowledge about the gun fight at the ok corral and the people involved. It was great to learn about the circumstances leading up to the event and what happened afterward. It is a long drive from Phoenix and I am glad we took the tour and not drive it ourselves. Stopping at a church and Boothill made the journey interesting. Watching the movie Tomstone on the ride back really was fun. The movie tied everything we saw and heard about together. The town of Tombstone is a giant tourist trap but a must do if you in the area. My wife and I had a really great day. Montana gave a our small group a personal tour of the Tombstone museum. He did a great job explaining what we were seeing. Lots of shops and good food in town. We ate at Big Nose Kates. Very good food, saloon atmosphere with a country singer. The original site of the gun fight is both very cheesy and interesting. A bunch of community college actors reenact the event as if in a poorly written and directed high school play on a stage with a high school quality set, but standing on the original site where history was made is amazing and worth the $10 fee. The tour gives you plenty of time in Tombstone which was an original concern.
