Your day in California wine country starts as you hop aboard the Sonoma Wine Trolley, modeled after the famous historical cable cars of San Francisco. Enjoy the breeze as your knowledgeable tour guide whisks you off to four outstanding Sonoma-area wineries, known for both their wines and their hospitality. Each wine tasting takes place at the winery and a representatives at each winery will explain the different varietals you’ll sample and the background of the wineries (wine tasting fees are not included and you can expect fees of $30 to $40). There will be wonderful photo opportunities on this tour and your friendly guide will be happy to take a photo or two of your group so you can document your memorable day in wine country.

This is a def must do if you have some time in Sonoma. We had a wonderful time! It was a great mix of learning the history of Sonoma and seeing the beautiful wineries. We went to 4 wineries, all unique from one another...all beautiful with delicious wines. There was ample time at each one so you didn't feel rushed. Lunch was included and was delicious with lots of food left over if people were still hungry. The open air trolley was perfect in Sonoma's beautiful weather. Will was our driver and made the tour so much fun! I would definitely recommend this tour. Bring a couple bottles of water because they aren't stingy with the amount of wine you will be drinking! =)

We went to four different places and each winery was unique in it's own way. I loved Buena Vista and the lunch was delicious! Our guide was Will and he was really knowledgable on the region. This was a wonderful tour and we would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks Sonoma Wine Trolly!

I have been on other Wine Trolley's in California and this one was by far inferior. The driver was boring (he could have been a bit more fun/enthusiastic), lunch was bland (there was flies all over it), the price was too high for not including any of the tasting fees or at least a couple of them. The trolley itself was very uncomfortable. On the other hand the wineries were pretty good. It was a good mix of different styles. You could rent a limo and have a much more comfortable and fun experience for about the same price (with a group of 4 or more).

Hello and thank you for taking time to write us about your experience on our Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley First and foremost, I would like to personally apologize to you about the lack of "Enthusiasm" provided to you by our driver. As you can see in our reviews, our drivers (Are usually) chat about “What is happening” in the vineyards, valley etc." And, they, our drivers, are supposed to be knowledgeable and friendly to all of our guests. Our lunches are “Catered picnic lunches, from The Girl and the Fig.” They consist of a “Gourmet Family Style” picnic lunch; with five varieties of gourmet sandwiches to choose from; two different types of salads and fresh baked dessert options. I am sorry that you felt that your lunch was "Bland." Since we are serving lunch outside, in picnic area, we can attempt to keep the food covered. This should help to prevent flies from landing on the food. Although, please keep in mind that it is a picnic and we are outside. As for the tasting fee's, we have negotiated all the tasting fees with each of our winery partners. For example, if you were to drive into the Benziger Family Winery on your own, you would expect to paid $25.00 pp. For our guests, the fee is $20.00 pp. And $10.00 of that goes for the previous tasting at Imagery Estate. The entire days tasting fees on the Wine Trolley are between $45.00 and $55.00. These fee's vary on the tour day you select. On average, your looking to spend about $11.45 per stop, per winery. If you check with our competitors, you will note that tasting fees and gratuity are not included in their tour pricing either. For a full "Napa or Sonoma" inclusive experience, you are looking to spend upwards of $250.00 pp plus; which makes our $99.00 look about the same as the competition. Our Trolleys are built on truck chassis and are not actually cable driven Trolley cars. However, even with an actual cable driven trolley, the rides are a bit bumpy. And, please keep in mind that most vineyards and wineries are in the “Outlying” areas. In order to visit these wineries, our only option is to take local roads that are not all maintained the same. Again, I am sorry that you did not enjoy our Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley tour. As you can see from the rest of our TripAdvisor Reviews, we do try very hard to make sure our guests have a safe and pleasant experience.All of us here take what we do very seriously. Our guests (Usually) have a wonderful time.
