South Kaibab Trail
The South Kaibab Trail is a must-hike trail in Grand Canyon National Park. It was blasted out of the Canyon's sheer walls by the National Park Service in the 1920s, and today offers a dramatic journey to amazing features like Ooh Aah Point, Cedar Ridge and Skeleton Point. On this tour our goal, which is not guaranteed as each group is unique, is Skeleton Point, where we will enjoy a picnic lunch looking down onto the Colorado River and Phantom Ranch far below us. The hike back is arduous, so be ready for a quick descent and a longer return!

Sentier Kaibab Sud

We did a group hike with Jason Bull on the South Kaibab trail. He was an excellent tour guide - he brought us all of the equipment we needed as well as lunch and snacks. He encouraged us to challenge ourselves while also being realistic. He made sure everyone was 100% sure they wanted to go to the furthest point before moving forward, and paid close attention to how we were doing on the hike. I would strongly recommend that anyone visiting the Grand Canyon take a hike with Jason/Wildland Trekking!

If you have good shoes and some experience with hiking, you can easily do the South Kaibab to Skeleton point on your own. But doing it with the Wildland Trekking Company makes it even more special! Everything was perfectly organised, with very good communication ahead of time. They provided poles, backpacks, traction devices and all the lunch. Our guide Louie was very attentive to our pace and security, and gave a lot of information on the history, geology and wildlife of the Grand Canyon. We learned a lot and it was great entertainment while walking. The trail itself is not difficult but it is a 5 to 6 hour hike. Take your time, breathe and admire the scenery. It is definitely worth the effort and doing it with Wildland make it even more enjoyable. Highly recommended.

The hike and our guide, Beau DeMello was fantastic! Despite it being overcast Beau definitely made up for it. I would recommended this company to anyone.
