South Kaibab Trail
The South Kaibab Trail is a must-hike trail in Grand Canyon National Park. It was blasted out of the Canyon's sheer walls by the National Park Service in the 1920s, and today offers a dramatic journey to amazing features like Ooh Aah Point, Cedar Ridge and Skeleton Point. On this tour our goal, which is not guaranteed as each group is unique, is Skeleton Point, where we will enjoy a picnic lunch looking down onto the Colorado River and Phantom Ranch far below us. The hike back is arduous, so be ready for a quick descent and a longer return!

Sentier Kaibab Sud

Our guide Louis was the perfect match for us. He was very informative and his personality blended into our own perfectly. He guided us down and back all the while telling us everything we wanted to know. This is how I celebrated my 71st birthday and loved every minute of it. Louie is an asset to your company in every way! I have read other reviews about Louis and the food spread he creates. Awesome meal!!! If anyone reading this has any hesitation about using this trekking company. Look no further...These folks are the best!!!

Had a lovely group of five day hikers who met up with Louie Herron promptly at 7. Louie was very helpful getting us prepared for the hike. Water was checked, packs adjusted and snacks distributed. Louie carried a terrific spread for all of us for lunch. The Kaibab trail is challenging, but spectacular. You get a better perspective of the Canyon farther down. I did get a bit of altitude sickness with a headache and dizziness. Didn't know that was what it was until the next day. Luckily I brought aspirin and Gatorade. Life savers! The way up is challenging, but doable. Practice hills and mountains at home and you will be fine. Takes twice as long as you think. Louie was good about explaining the terrain and the trail. Would certainly use him again!

We wanted a deeper look, not just an overlook. So happy we went w Wildland Trekking, our guide Louie was so informative about the canyon, he pointed out many views, hidden fossils and perspective on the strata and the mysteries of the canyon, as well as fun conversation along the way. We loved our 7 hour hike, we caught the bug and will def be back to go down to the river and explore some more. Thanks Louie, for making our time so interesting and the tasty lunch was great fuel for the way back up! Highly reco Wildland and Louie to take you into the depths of the Grand Canyon!
