If you want to see a Saturn V and some its predecessors then this is MUST. also interesting to the shuttle mounted a 747. The main museum is a bit commericial mainly lightweight aimed at kids. The tram tour (required to see the Saturn V) is a bit slow, but still some useful info picked up.

Thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Museum at Space Center Houston. Lots of exhibits, many of which are interactive, reviewing both the history and future of space exploration. Great chance to explore the space shuttle as well as lots of other aircraft and artifacts associated with space exploration. Allow a good couple hours to explore the various exhibits; lots to check out. The tram tour was less impressive. Tour is included in your admission costs and last about 90 minutes. First stop was the Mission Control command center for previous missions. We traipsed up several flights of stairs to look into a room that was gutted and being renovated. Wish that had been shared before we walked up several flights - I could have been happy looking at a photo from below. Second stop was the Astronaut Training Facility. Apparently they don't train much on weekdays (or maybe not much at all), so we walked along a viewing gallery of a long hanger and looked down at some folks making a movie and a few others just chatting with each other. By this time, there was lots of grumbling in the ranks; the guide looked extremely bored with her job and was challenged in her ability to pronounce the word "astronaut" correctly (or even in some fashion that resembled English) which caused significant confusion for many of the guests for quite a while (especially the international visitors). The last stop was the Rocket Park; where we could ditch the guide and explore ourselves. They had some very impressive rockets and a wonderful timeline display that was great to poke through. Regretfully, you can't just visit Rocket Park and skip the other two portions of the adventure; it was truly the only part of the tram tour my gang of 4 really enjoyed. Overall, a great place to visit.

Loved going to Space Center Houston. Highly recommend doing the trams early, as soon as they open before it gets hot. Take the red tram first which shows you around the astronaut training facility. We then took the blue tram to visit mission control. We wrapped up our visit by visiting the various stations inside and we brought our own lunch. The drinks alone for 5 people totaled to be $10.00. They take a picture before you board the tram. Price is $25.00 for an 8x10. Our total visit time was from 9:30-2:30.
