Enjoyed the tour and driver. Very interesting for someone who has never been there. We would recommend it earlier than November as the park we visited was closed.

Thank you for the nice comments. We are sorry the gift shop at the State Park closes early starting the winter season in November. The Park is open to browse.

The tour was wonderful!! Our tour guide for our small group of 10, Grant, was a veritable fountain of knowledge about every facet of the area—the history, the infrastructure, the buildings, the people, the state of Utah—everything. He was funny at times and also very mindful of the schedule and making sure we were on time for everything. My favorite part of the tour was seeing the state capitol and looking out over the city from the front steps as the sun was going down. The Tabernacle Choir practice was a treat; hearing all those voices with the orchestra was beautiful, but since it was just practice (as we knew it would be), there were a lot of starts and stops. I would definitely recommend the tour and especially Grant as a tour guide; he was great!! By the way, there is no stop for a meal on the tour; the description on Trip Advisor said there was, but there wasn’t, so eat before you come or you might get hungry!

It was a beautiful tabernacle and the people were very friendly. The music was beautiful. The tour of the city was very interesting. I did not know anything about the first Mormons that arrived in Salt Lake City and I had never seen the city before. It was definitely worthwhile.
