When it comes to Colorado whitewater, hardly anyone knows about the San Miguel River. Which is kind of a surprise! Given how much fun it is, on top of being in proximity to bougie and beloved Telluride.

The rafting section is gorgeously scenic, exciting for all experience levels, and pretty much a must if you want to spend the afternoon like a local. Its red sandstone canyon juxtaposed by flourishing pine forests make for a picturesque setting to recreate on this Rocky Mountain river.

Anyone who loves the outdoors will have an absolute hoot on this tour, whether it’s your first or hundredth time rafting. Just ask our guides, most— if not all!— will agree that the San Miguel is their favorite river to run.

We did the 1/2 day San Miguel rafting trip and it was awesome. Brendon was our guide and it he did an amazing job. I would recommend this trip to everyone. The views along the way were so pretty. It is very close to Telluride, so you can make a side trip out of that as well.

Our group booked a trip on the San Miguel river - half day and it was a great experience! Our guides were knowledgeable and most importantly safe - the river was running extremely high. For a group of first time rafters they made us feel at ease. They have been my go to rafting company since our group started coming out there 7 years ago. Will work with you on pricing. I rafted the San Miguel with some friends while we were visiting. I was so excited about this river because it was just what we were looking for. Full of adventure but not to crazy! Our guide Jesse and Don were amazing! From the beginning to the end of our trip they provide us with top notch service. The area was beautiful and it was so peaceful! There were constant splashes along the way and the guides were really knowledgeable of the area and knew their stuff. I will definitely be back for another San Miguel rafting trip, thanks again Don, Jesse and the staff at Mild to Wild for such a great trip!
