This is one of the best luaus I’ve been to (and my wife and I have attended quite a few). There are several things that sets this one apart: 1. It includes a variety of cultural demonstrations, from weaving baskets to preparing a variety of Hawaiian dishes. Most encourage audience participation. 2. Cousin Billy, the emcee, is an energetic, friendly, multi-talented host (in addition to telling great stories, he sings and plays guitar). He’s also a master of the subtle one-liner. 3. The food is delicious (not something every luau can claim). 4. The venue is small, so everyone gets a good seat. (The “Silver” seats are the least expensive, and there’s no reason to spend more.) 5. Everyone involved cares that each person in the audience has a good time and learns something about Polynesian culture. 6. Your ticket includes admission to Waimea Falls Park & Botanical Gardens. The trail is gorgeous and the falls are impressive. Bring your swimsuit so you can take a dip when you reach the falls. (There are changing rooms and lockers available.) Wear water shoes to protect your feet on your way to the pond (you'll be glad you did). If you’d rather experience the falls separately, your luau ticket will get you in for free during any of the following 7 days. These folks worked hard to get their luau up and running, and work just as hard to earn your business. You’ll be happy you chose to spend an evening with them.

I loved learning about Polynesian culture and all the differences between the islands. Seeing all the traditional clothing and dances was absolutely amazing. It was great that the group was quite small, and it truly did feel quite homey and intimate. The host was great and funny, and kept making us feel as though we really were part of his family. The food was also lovely. I loved that the luau ticket also included access to Waimea Valley - I would defenitely recommend to go with enough time to walk to the falls and have a look at the historical sites along the way! The activities at the start of the evening were very interesting and fun, however I would have liked a bit more time to look around at all of them. Everyone was so friendly and you leave feeling so happy and satisfied.

We loved our visit to Toa Luau! I highly recommend choosing this luau when planning your trip to Oahu. We purchased the VIP package which sat us right in front for the show, but honestly any seat in the venue is great. This is best location for a luau because it gives you a full day to spend out in Waimea Valley in the garden and at the beach. It doesnt feel like you are walking into a big commercialized luau because they are so welcoming and make you feel like family here. What I loved the most was how they incorporated teaching you Polynesian history while keeping you fully entertained. The food and drinks were great! We definitely will be back to Toa Luau.
