I only had a few hours left before my flight leaving Albuquerque, so I chose at the last minute to go experience the Turquoise Museum. I really enjoyed learning all about real and imitation turquoise! I learned when looking to purchase turquoise if it is not advertised as “natural” then it is imitation (wish I had known that before I purchased my set)!! But of course natural turquoise is much more expensive, so buy what you like and what your finances will permit!

This was a highlight of our trip to Albuquerque. We enjoyed the museum. We were one of two families in the museum, so the owners son was kind enough to give us a personal tour. We learned so much about Turquoise and how to decipher the quality. Very informative and their collection is amazing. They say it is the largest in the world. They have at least one sample of Turquoise from every part of the world. I would count over 200 chandeliers also!

Great family-owned museum! Many beautiful pieces and very informed guides. Good indoor activity if its hot outside. The building is amazing too
