After reading many favorable reviews about Savannah Belle Walking Tours, I booked a 10:30 group tour, and I was not disappointed. Michelle is personable and offers a detailed, but interesting, history of Savannah as she guides her group through several of the key squares that make up the historical city. The history begins during its early settlement, Revolutionary War era, and concludes during the Civil War. During the tour, she shares non-scripted stories about key homes, events, and people that helped to shape Savannah. While she mentioned that a couple of homes or sites had been featured on several television shows and are known by ghost hunting enthusiasts, she did not delve into any such stories or speculation. Michelle offered an enjoyable, fact-based, tour of Savannah, but she also offered tidbits about great places to eat and homes to tour. We later took her suggestion on touring the Juliette Gordon Low home, and we were not disappointed.
The Savannah Belle Walking Tours offer a great introduction to the city of historic Savannah.
