Quête du zodiaque sauvage

Aperçu
Your adrenalin will be pumping when you captain a four- or six-passenger Zodiac, a rigid-hulled inflatable boat offering speed and agility. The adventure begins with a tour by van through historic downtown Ketchikan. Look out the windows as your scenic drive travels past totem poles, Saxman Native Village, and the beautiful coastline of the Tongass Narrows to the Beaver Falls Salmon Cannery. Upon arrival, breathe in the fresh air as you walk the mystical rainforest trail to the Zodiac. After a safety briefing, you’ll bundle up in rain gear, rubber boots and a life jacket, step inside the sturdy Zodiac and follow your guide out to the beautiful George Inlet Fjords. Soak up the pristine scenery, and marvel at the rich wildlife. After cruising for 90 minutes, you’ll return to the cannery for a complimentary flight of 49th state craft beers or sodas and a snack!

This trip was by far the best excursion we took while in Alaska. Chris did an excellent job guiding us and making sure we could spot plenty of wildlife. I got an insane video of a bald eagle flying a few feet above my head… something I could not have gotten anywhere else without a million people in the the footage. The scenery is beautiful and you get to see bears, eagles, seals, otters, etc. The boats are very spacious for what they are and the seats are comfortable as well. You are provided high quality rain gear, but we were fortunate enough to have gorgeous weather our entire trip so we did not need the gear. Chris’ hospitality was phenomenal and made the trip feel seamless and very enjoyable. The drive out to the inlet was beautiful and we got to learn a lot about the history of the area. Highly recommend this excursion!

Emily took us on a great tag along tour in our own Zodiac boat. She pointed out seals and a pair of majestic Bald Eagles which gave us a fantastic demonstration of flying skills. It was a great experience to travel through the untouched wilderness in such a fun way.

Incredible views outside away from big groups even while visiting on a cruise. They took us for a scenic drive to the loading area- and have all the dry suits onsight to keep you comfortable! We ended up actually riding with the guide which was great. We saw numerous eagles and the views were breath taking. The guides said they have seen whales and other animals in the past as well. The zodiac boats are also very nice and easy to drive. Really nice activity and I would highly recommend!
