Maison Woodruff-Fontaine

It’s obvious when you arrive that the house is gorgeous, and only gets better once you’ve navigated your way to the back and found the way in, after getting distracted by the gardens and child’s playhouse! The staff clearly love the house and the history and showed us around whilst recounting the stories and lives of the owners as well as the area and city. Found myself right at home ..!

We visited on a cold, rainy Saturday and we were not disappointed. The tour guide was great and we couldn't get enough of the beautiful furnishings and vintage clothing on display. They even has an original chair from Charles Dickens house. Definitely worth a visit.

Was given an amazing tour by guide - was there for over an hour and taken to see so much of the house and learn a lot about Memphis area that I knew so little about. There is a house two doors down I did as well that was great for the period.
