All Gone Surfing Hawaii lessons start on the sand with ocean awareness and safety. Then we get you right into the surf for a rush of wind and waves. No worries, our licensed instructors are trained in first aid and lifeguard CPR. Once in the water, we show you how to read the waves, position your take off, and the etiquette of wave riding. Whether you’re a one-on-one type or you prefer fun with friends, our customized lessons are built to make your adventure on the waves one to remember.

My 2+ hour lesson with Trevor was the highlight of my Hawaii trip. My goal had been to learn to surf on my birthday, and the experience couldn't have been better. I'm a water baby and comfortable in the ocean but had never been surfing, so had a few concerns (like how to keep from getting smacked with your board), but my instructor was there to explain everything and answer all my questions. He made sure I was comfortable, safe, having fun, and catching as many waves as possible. The break is pretty far out, so even though Trevor towed me, there is still a lot of paddling and I can still feel the effects 2 days later. But nothing a little ibuprofen won't fix. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gone Surfing to anyone looking for an incredibly fun experience in the waves and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

So happy we went with Gone Surfing for my sons first surf lesson! Trevor and Mitch were beyond amazing and helpful. Nicest guys I’ve ever met! Nice on the eyes as well ;) My son was so proud of himself and happy he did it. Definitely recommend doing this if you are ever in Hawaii.

My 17 and 15 year old sons did the 2 hour private surf lesson and it was worth every penny. Their instructor Chad was a true professional and made sure they were able to get the technique down on the beach before they set out to catch some great waves. We also paid for the photography and Clarence got the most amazing shots with Diamond Head in the background. Definitely use Gone Surfing, you will create some wonderful memories!
