We wanted to do this since we decided to come to the View Lodges and it didn't dissapoint.
The tour is located to the far left of the site down past the lodges down a gravel road, not signposted at all (note to owner!)
We were asked to sign the waiver and supplied helmets for safety, you are given leather holders for water bottles, then given your horse based on experience.
We had Bandit, Navy, Eccles and Monty all lovely and very well behaved.
The boys took us round explained all the history and why the land is sacred which was really nice.
We were also pointed out the rock that was used in Mission Impossible (where Tom Cruise is climbing up it and Metallica playing I Disappear theme tune on top of it, check out You Tube)
Also the rock in Transformers, scene from John Wayne films, Forest Gump.
Unfortunately the road leading to the Back to the Future 3 site (outdoor cinema when Marty goes back to 1885) is closed, very sad.
The hour flys by but bottoms knew they'd been in a saddle for an hour, we did this at 3pm and it was hot in the sun, suggest first or last outing.
The views and photos were amazing and you feel you have the whole valley to yourselves.
We cannot recommend this tour any higher.
