This was a fantastic walking tour. As advertised, it’s not so much about history as about the flavors of Chinatown — along with some perspective and insights into the businesses that make Chinatown tick, now and in the history of the area. The food was amazing; even though we’ve lived/worked nearby in the past and eaten in Chinatown many times, we tried new things and learned more about them. We were so impressed that the tour company tested all the egg custard tarts for the best one. Favorites in our group included dim sum, Malaysian curry and miso donuts. A good value with the food included, and Farshad did a great job making everyone feel a part of the group and establishing rapport.

Farshad was an excellent guide! Would definitely recommend to others! He was super knowledgeable about so much history and his travels abroad really helped make this experience feel more authentic. I think he should go to Singapore as well to guide more tours!

This was a great way to spend an afternoon in NYC with teenagers. Chinatown was really beautiful. The food was delicious. The tidbits of information were just right. Our guide, Farshad, took great care of us and seemed to know just about everyone. Also, he’s funny and personable. Go—you’ll love it!
