The tour included the "must see" of the Valley as well as the backcountry. The guide also extensively talked about the heritage as well as the current situations of the natives of the area.

Our tour guide, Steven, lived up to his reputation. He was well informed about human and natural history of Monument Valley. At several stops he played his own compositions on his flute. Steven shared topics of interest regarding contemporary Navajo culture. Rumor has it that his twin brother, Derrick, may be as good a guide, but no confirmation at time of review.

Steven was our guide. He is a very knowledgeable and pleasant young man and provided a lot of interesting information on the Navajo people, customs and beliefs. We really enjoyed the fact that it was just the 2 of us on the tour rather than a larger group. It was more of a dialogue than an typical guided tour. Will definitely use Dineh Bekeyah when we return.
