Your daily 3-hour, whale watch trip is narrated by a marine biologist or naturalist who provides educational and interesting information about whales, dolphins, and a wide variety of marine wildlife. I loved the tour. The crew was really nice and informative/knowledgeable about the local wildlife. I picked this tour primarily because I heard they pick up trash out of the ocean and that it’s not overly crowded and both rang true. Several balloons were picked out of the ocean which made me appreciate the tour very much. The tour guide told me several different places to enjoy not only locally but also abroad. We saw several grey whales surfacing and a large pod of Rizzo dolphins, they were adorable!

This was a great way to see the aquatic wildlife, the guide was very knowledgeable and funny. The captain did a great job and we seen dolphins, grey whales, sea otters, harbor seals as well as other animals. Well worth the 65.00 would do again when in the area

The Pacifica is newly refurbished & is perfect for whale watching. Lots of padded seating on deck & cozy booths inside. Our trip was no where near capacity so we felt safe & comfortable. We've been whale watching several times in Monterey with different companies on different boats & don't have a bad thing to say about any of them. Discovery really stands out because our captain, Rod & deckhand/naturalist, Andrew are welcoming, friendly, & knowledgeable. Their easy-going attitude & love of the ocean made us feel like they invited us for a day on the water. We saw three grey whales & so many sea lions & otters! The water was so clear & still while we were waiting for the whales resurface we saw many sea nettle jellyfish float on by. I can't wait until we cruise with them again!
