A local guide will show you all of the highlights of Acadia National Park plus the famous Somes Sound and Asticou Gardens!

We will pick you up and we’ll drive along the stunning 27-mile long Park Loop Road up to the summit of Cadillac Mountain, the highest peak on the eastern seaboard. From Cadillac you can see spectacular views of Bar Harbor and the surrounding islands.

See all of the famous sites on the Park Loop Road, including Cadillac Mountain, Rockefeller’s stone bridges & Carriage House, Otter Cliffs, Thunder Hole, and Sieur du Monts Gardens and Nature Center. See Sand Beach surrounded by the famous pink granite coastline.

We will continue out of the park to see the summer colony of Northeast Harbor and stroll through the famous Asticou Gardens. See gorgeous harbors, yachts and picnic boats.

We can stop and stay as long as you would like at each location. We will point out trailheads and carriage roads to explore on your own.

Somes Sound

Somes Sound is a fjord, a body of water running deep into Mount Desert Island, the main site of Acadia National Park in Maine, United States. Its deepest point is approximately 175 feet, and it is over 100 feet deep in several places. The sound almost splits the island in two.

Bill was very accommodating and knowledgeable. He let us take pictures whenever I asked, and stopped frequently. Great time. We even ran over in time and it was not a issue. Would recommend.

Caleb is born and raised in the area. He is very knowledgeable and fun. I would highly recommend this tour. He knew all the ins and outs of seeing the right views etc. Arcadia is beautiful and the leaves were just starting to turn third week in October.

My wife of 26 years and I celebrated our renewal of vows and I surprised my wife with a five day stay in Bar Harbor. We started our vacation out with the 4 hour private Acadia National Park Tour. We could not have had a better start to our time in Maine. Our tour guide, Caleb, was absolutely wonderful... he was very, very knowledgeable about the local facts and history!
