This was by far the most breathtaking thing we did at they Grand Canyon. We hiked down 3 miles and did the entire rim, but to see so much of the canyon with such a knowledgeable guide was wonderful. We got our pictures taken in front of the chopper with the pilot before take off, and then climbed aboard the air conditioned craft. We each got a head set so we could listen to their perfectly timed background music while we asked questions or pointed out things below. We flew over the forest then into the canyon, across both the Colorado and Little Colorado Rivers with our pilot telling us why they look different based on geology, then across the canyon to the North Rim with information on rock layers, names of peaks, information on rafting and the rapids, explorers, Native Americans, and more. We looped behind the visitor center of the North Rim (a no fly zone) and got to see wild bison below. Then back across the canyon towards the south rim for more breath taking views and over town to the airport. Our pilot was great and leaned forward out of my shot every time I pointed my camera at his window. He knew everything and was very friendly. I wish I had brought a polarized lens, as there was a bit of reflection in my pictures from the glare on the windows. My only complaint is that because they need to balance their chopper, I was not able to sit with my boyfriend for the 50 min ride, but could talk to him over the radio and did get a selfy with him behind me. My view in the front was much better than his in the back. The craft only fits 8 people, and we had 5 plus the pilot so we all got windows. I would love to do this again. Save up and go for it!
