Nathan was our pilot for the 45 minute helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon from Tusayan, just south of the Grand Canyon southern entrance. He was very calm, reassuring, and exhibited great expertise with his flying ability. Nathan narrated during the flight, pointing out the highlights as well as interesting tidbits. This is as one of the highlights that I will always remember for the rest of my life. I took so many amazing photos! Check-in was 45 minutes before the flight was to take off. We also needed to confirm the flight by phone 24-48 hours in advance. Once, we checked into the hotel, we also had to call to give our room number of our hotel, even though we were driving ourselves to the airport at 107 Corsair Drive, Tusayan. All staff was very friendly on the phone and in-person. Passengers were seated according to weight by the computer to help balance the weight in the helicopter. When we booked, we were asked our weight. When we arrived at Maverick Helicopters, we had a blind weigh-in. By that, I mean that you stepped on a scale but only the person behind the counter could see the actual weight. Even though that the helicopter ride was pricey, it was well worth it. I booked this ride through viator.com which gave us a discount. I would highly recommend Maverick Helicopters, not only for their amazing staff but also for having the top of the line helicopters!
