Lancaster County is home to a fascinating culture nestled in the rural farmlands outside of Philadelphia. Join our tour to learn about the fascinating history and complex lifestyle of the Amish community.

Your tour starts with a ride in our comfortable van out to the idyllic countryside of Lancaster County, where horse and buggies on the roads and farmers in the fields are common sights. You will be fully immersed in their way of life with a visit to the Amish Village Museum, a preserved Amish homestead that is now open to the public.

Come with an appetite as you enjoy some homemade Amish cooking at a local restaurant. Afterwards, you'll have a chance to savor some yummy sweet treats like whoopie pies and shoo fly pies from a local bakery.

We’ll have time for stops in small towns highlighting Amish-made goods, including quilt shops and road-side stands. Best yet, you’ll have the chance to support the community with any purchases, with unique options recommended by your guide!

Today, we took A Day Trip to Amish Country from Philadelphia, and it turned out to be a really enjoyable experience, thanks to our guide, Britnni. From the moment we met her, we felt like we were traveling with a friend. Her warmth and friendly personality made the day feel relaxed and personal, setting the tone for a great experience. As foodies, we were especially excited about the food, and Britnni absolutely delivered. She knows all the hidden gems in Amish Country—places to eat, shop, and explore that you wouldn’t find without insider knowledge. From homemade Amish pies to fresh, farm-made snacks, every stop was a treat. Britnni’s recommendations were spot-on, and we loved trying all the delicious, authentic flavors. We got a glimpse into the peaceful, simple life of the Amish. It was refreshing to see how they live in peace, following traditions, far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life. The day was perfectly paced, with just the right mix of learning, eating, and sightseeing. Britnni kept things moving smoothly, but we never felt rushed. She even shared a few fun facts about Philadelphia, which added a nice touch to the trip and kept things interesting throughout. A special “Hi” to Britnni’s grandma, who we hear loves reading reviews! We hope you’re doing well, and we want you to know that your granddaughter’s kindness and knowledge made our day even better. If you’re looking for a fun and informative day trip to Amish Country with great food, hidden gems, and a peaceful look into Amish life, we definitely recommend this tour with Britnni. It was a great way to get out of the city and enjoy everything this beautiful, quiet region has to offer
