The Lofton Creek Kayak Tour is perfect for paddlers of any level, including children and beginners. It’s an intimate nature experience in which participants can expect to get up close and personal with turtles, alligators, snakes, otters, and occasionally, manatees. The terrestrial nature of the forest attracts pileated woodpeckers, red shoulder hawks, and the curious anhinga, sometimes referred to as the “water turkey.” The protected makeup of Lofton Creek means paddling here is “weather resistant” to tumultuous coastal conditions. A south-bound paddle on Lofton Creek provides picturesque marsh views, whereas a north-bound paddle is a more remote, forested experience. What a wonderful morning on Lofton! So serene, so beautifully, and so easy. We just showed up at the boat ramp and our wonderful guide had everything ready. Thank you Catherine for guiding us and for teaching us about the ecology of the creek.

Really a fun day out with wonderful guides. They knew all about they area and we had LOTS of questions as we were new to this part of the country so we were thrilled to get such great guides with knowledge of the area and more! We thoroughly recommend them if you are choosing some sort of kayak tour. It was also a great way to see things while burning some calories from all the yummy food we were eating on our trip. Loved it all and highly recommend this company for a fun day out on the water!

What a wonderful experience with Amelia Adventures, Catherine and Jack! We are always worried taking our son with Autism on new adventures because we don’t know how he is going to do. Shortly after the start up Lofton Creek he was having a hard time paddling. No problem for Jack, one of the guides. Jack hooked him up to his own kayak and on we went. He pulled him the rest of the way. All of us enjoyed the trip and our son wants to do it again!!! Thank you for being so understanding and making it an unforgettable trip.
